Join us for the school of nursing graduation Friday, June 22 at Hampton high school at 2929 McCully Road Allison Park off of Route 8. Wear your pin! Our alumni association caters a reception for graduates and guests afterwards.  (Director of the school Amy Stoker said the time will be either 6 or 7pm but apparently not decided yet: I can update you when I get told.)

Meetings

All alumni are welcome to participate in the quarterly meetings of the West Penn Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association. To receive a copy of meeting minutes, please email the Secretary with your name (include maiden name and married name) and class year.

Association Meetings
At the June 2, 2015, meeting it was decided to have a plaque made to honor Rosena "Rosie" Hummel Voelker, RN, who died April 15, 2015, at age 90. She made a very positive impact on generations of students as WPH's Employee and Student Health Nursing Director for 31 years.

Upcoming meetings are as follows:

  • Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at 5:30pm in Gross Street alumni suite on the third floor of the school of nursing; out to dinner afterwards.
  • Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 5:30pm in Gross Street alumni suite on the third floor of the school of nursing; out to dinner afterwards.
  • Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at 5:30pm in Gross Street alumni suite on the third floor of the school of nursing; out to dinner afterwards.
  • Tuesday, December 4, 2018, annual dinner meeting at a restaurant to be decided.

Every time someone moves an alumni is lost unless we're given the new address.  Keep yourself and your classmates in the loop.  If you or they don’t receive our annual newsletter you're not in our database.  Send all updated changes including maiden and married names and year of graduation to Alyce at ajduffus@comcast.net
