What is GERD?

Find out if it's more than "just" heartburn at Doc Talks about GERD

About 20% of U.S. adults have gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). And it is more than just heartburn. GERD is a chronic digestive disease that typically is the result of weak muscles where the esophagus meets the stomach. If left untreated, GERD can cause severe problems, like Barrett's esophagus, dysplasia, and esophageal cancer.

Come to Doc Talks on GERD and learn about its symptoms and treatment, understand the risk factors, and receive a free screening. Take this online assessment to see if you are at risk for GERD.
