Allegheny Health Network to host free Great Race Running Clinic on Saturday

Pittsburgh, Pa – Allegheny Health Network (AHN) will host a free running clinic at Highmark SportsWorks in the Northshore this weekend, featuring a variety of family-friendly activities to help runners start their training for the Great Race this September.
The Great Race Running Clinic presented by Allegheny Health Network will offer a variety of activities, including a complimentary movement screening by AHN’s sports medicine team. The movement screening will help runners identify stability, flexibility, strength, and other performance factors. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about injury prevention and training from sports performance experts and try a variety of running and warm-up activation stations to help improve their performance.
Attendees can also enjoy SportsWorks’ numerous interactive exhibits that include scaling a 25-foot rock wall, a ropes course, running an Olympic spring, and more. The event will also feature vendors, including a Great Race table which will have a prize wheel and information about upcoming community footraces.
