“This celebration and open house is AHN Saint Vincent’s way of thanking the community for its patience during our construction process over the past two years and for the support of everyone who has played a role in the development of this beautiful new facility,” said Saint Vincent president, Chris Clark, DO, MHA. “In addition to all the fun activities, we are also really excited to let folks go inside and see firsthand how this facility was truly designed to create the most efficient and streamlined experience for them should they ever need emergency care.”
The new 104,000-square-foot, $51.5 million facility on the Saint Vincent campus is part of a more than $140 million investment being made by Highmark Health and Allegheny Health Network in Saint Vincent and the Erie region. The new emergency department and adjacent operating room suite extends between the Hardner Building at 2315 Myrtle Street to the main hospital.
A formal ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Saint Vincent Emergency Department and adjacent Operating Room Suite is set for October 18 at 10 a.m. The facility will open for patients the following week.
