New AHN Saint Vincent Hospital Emergency Department opens to public
Thursday, November 7, 2019
AHN Saint Vincent officially opened the doors to its new 104,000 square-foot, $51.5 million Emergency Department on Thursday, November 7.
The facility, which features 39 private, state-of-the-art rooms, twice as much triage space, a streamlined registration process, a designated test results waiting area, an integrated imaging suite, exam rooms designed specifically for bariatric and behavioral health patients, a dedicated blood draw and EKG room, a quick care area, and specialized rooms for trauma and resuscitation, greatly expands Saint Vincent’s emergency department capacity to more effectively accommodate the over 65,000 patients who seek emergency care at the hospital every year.
The hospital has reopened the circle which nests the new Emergency Department between the hospital itself – located at 232 West 25th Street, and the Hardner Building at 2315 Myrtle Street.
Patients are able to pull into the circle and take advantage of valet parking for both the new ED and the Hardner Building. They can also choose to park in the ramp on the northwest corner of 24th and Myrtle streets.
