AHN Saint Vincent to Present Festival of Trees 2019
Tuesday, November 12, 2019
It isn’t the Christmas season until Saint Vincent’s annual Festival of Trees happens! Saint Vincent will present this Erie holiday tradition on November 29, 30 and December 1st at the Bayfront Convention Center.
The event will feature a gallery of uniquely decorated trees, local entertainment, live reindeer from noon to 5 p.m. each day, holiday displays, and a six-room Santa’s Castle filled with activities for children to explore.
Over 70 professionally decorated trees will be on display throughout the convention center. The trees are each uniquely decorated trees by local artists and florists, each with its own colorful and creative theme.
“The trees alone make Festival worth the price of admission – they are a breathtaking sight to behold,” said Christine Bowen, Executive Director of Development at Saint Vincent Hospital. “In addition, there are so many fun activities for kids of all ages. It truly sets the mood for the holiday season!”
Returning to the event is a Teddy Bear Clinic, at which families can have their child’s bear examined by Saint Vincent Hospital’s team of teddy bear specialists. Families can bring a bear of their own or take home one with a $10 donation.
According to Bowen, the six-room, interactive Santa’s Castle will enable kids to enjoy a cookie in Mrs. Claus’ kitchen, create a craft in the Elf Bedroom, write a letter to Santa in his workshop, prepare reindeer food to sprinkle for Santa’s team and, of course, visit with Santa himself!
The Festival’s popular “Reindeer Experience,” featuring live reindeer, will take place from noon to 5 p.m. each day.
There will be a full roster of live local entertainment on the Festival stage throughout the weekend!
Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. to 6p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are only $10 Adults, $6 Children (12 and under) and are available online at www.ahn.org/festivaloftrees or at the door.
