Canonsburg Hospital Springs into a New Tradition with First-ever Bunny Hop Trail
Monday, April 15, 2019
CANONSBURG, Pa. — Building on the popularity of its annual Halloween Trail, which has become a wildly successful fall tradition in Washington County, Allegheny Health Network’s Canonsburg Hospital is hosting its first-ever Bunny Hop Trail on Tuesday, April 16 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Hundreds of families and youngsters are expected to attend the event, which will happen rain or shine at the hospital’s outdoor fitness trail.
As kids hop along the same route as the Halloween Trail, they will be able to collect eggs filled with surprises, candy, and other giveaways. Various stations along the way will be staffed by community members, businesses, volunteers, and other staff. There also will be refreshments – and, of course, kids will be able to get their photos taken with the Easter Bunny.
“After the incredible success of our Halloween Trail over the years, we thought it was time to welcome the community to the hospital grounds for a similar spring event,” said Keith Zimmer, Director, Volunteer Services, Canonsburg Hospital. “Just as the Halloween Trail has done, we hope the Bunny Hop Trail will bring together local families and our hospital staff and volunteers for a fun-filled community evening.”
The event is free, and complimentary parking is available. In the event of inclement weather, the Bunny Hop Trail will be held indoors at Canonsburg Hospital.
Canonsburg Hospital hosts a variety of on-campus community events in addition to the Halloween and Bunny Hop trails, including Child Safety Day in June and the Holiday Basket Raffle and Light-Up Night festivities in November and December.
