Center for Inclusion Health

The AHN Center for Inclusion Health (CIH) was formed in January, 2014 under the direction of the Chair and Vice of Medicine at Allegheny Health Network, Susan Manzi, MD and Paul Lebovitz, MD. Patrick Perri, MD serves as Medical Director and Stuart Fisk, CRNP is the Director for the Center.

The mission of the CIH is to provide outstanding healthcare to all people in the region served by AHN, especially socially marginalized and vulnerable populations. By using creative, coordinated, and compassionate primary care models to overcome the prevalent forces of health exclusion and ineffective health resource utilization, the CIH works to reverse poor health outcomes and increased healthcare costs.

The Center for Inclusion Health encompasses the following areas:

  • HIV Primary Care at the Positive Health Clinic
  • Inpatient Consult Service for Complex Patients
  • Medical Respite Program for Homeless and Injection Drug Users who are unstably housed
  • FQHC Collaborations
  • Education and Training– Inclusion Health Residency Track and Elective
  • Behavioral Health Integration in Primary care
  • Addiction Medicine
  • Research and Evaluation of Inclusion Health Programs
  • Medical Respite and Inpatient Consult Service expansion to affiliated hospitals
  • Homeless/Urban Poverty Medicine
  • Community Collaborations to address food insecurity and homelessness
  • Immigrant/Refugee health services
