Pediatric Orthopaedics at Jefferson Hospital
Jefferson’s orthopaedic specialists at Pittsburgh Bone, Joint and Spine, Inc. provide care for children with bone fractures and sports injuries.
We have three fellowship-trained sports medicine specialists (Dr. Timothy Honkala, Dr. Christopher Radkowski and Dr. Laura Wiegand) who care for recreational and competitive athletes with injuries to the shoulder, elbow, knee and more.
Common injuries that we treat include:
- ACL Tears
- Bicep Tendon Tears
- Cartilage Tears
- Meniscal Tears
- Overuse Injuries
- Rotator Cuff Tears
- Shoulder Instability or Dislocation
- SLAP Tears
- Tennis Elbow
We offer conservative treatment including therapy, medication and injections whenever possible. For more severe injuries or those that do not improve with conservative care, we provide arthroscopic and minimally invasive outpatient surgical procedures.
