It is my pleasure to introduce you to Graduate Medical Education at Allegheny Health Network. Comprised of more than 525 trainees within 46 residency and fellowship programs, we are among the largest GME programs in the country. We celebrate a rich history of training great physicians who go on to remarkable careers both here at Allegheny Health Network and across the country. Our trainees are recognized for their clinical and academic abilities, and most of all, by their engagement and personhood.
Integrated within AHN, a world-class health care network serving Western Pennsylvania and the surrounding regions, our programs offer outstanding graduate medical education (GME) training opportunities in Pittsburgh and Erie, PA. You will benefit from the abundant resources and opportunities that emerge from our large geographic footprint and our affiliations with both Drexel University College of Medicine and Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, two of the country’s largest medical schools. Though we have all the advantages of our size, including the STAR Center for Simulation, the Center for Surgical Arts, the Allegheny Research Institute, and a robust Clinician Wellness program, we are proudest of our “small program” feel, where you will train in a collegial and supportive, family-like atmosphere. I invite you to explore our program sites and apply, to see for yourself all that AHN has to offer!
