A flexible, convenient option for non-emergency care
If you have a nonurgent medical concern, an eVisit allows you to share your questions with your doctor online and get help without going to the office.
The process is simple. You’ll answer questions about your symptoms and provide other important information on our electronic form. Your AHN clinician will review your submission, respond with an evaluation, and recommend treatment if needed.
Log in to your MyChart account to get started. To request an eVisit, message your AHN clinician on MyChart to see if this type of visit is appropriate for your symptoms.
What to expect during an eVisit
It’s important to remember that an eVisit isn’t an open-ended conversation. It’s a questionnaire-based exchange between you and your AHN clinician. This service can be used for some health issues or concerns that aren't an emergency instead of scheduling an appointment at your doctor’s office. Once you fill out and submit your electronic form, your AHN clinician will review and get back to you within three business days.
Please note: Based on your answers in the questionnaire, your clinician may determine that you need an in-person appointment or video visit to address your symptoms. Your doctor's office will contact you to schedule this follow-up appointment. If your symptoms get worse before this appointment, please call your doctor's office.
Billing
eVisits are billed to your insurance like regular, in-person visits. Depending on your insurance coverage, you may have a copay or out-of-pocket cost. This varies by insurance plan.
If you have questions about how much you'll owe for an eVisit, call your insurance company to verify your coverage.
If you choose not to use insurance, the most you will pay for an eVisit is $133.
eVisits are not currently covered by Medicaid. If you need an appointment with your AHN clinician, call your doctor's office to schedule an in-person or video visit.

Our health care professionals are only licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. eVisits may only be conducted if you are physically located within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania at the time of the encounter. eVisits may not be used to send requests about someone else's health or on behalf of someone else.
Response times are not guaranteed, but we will strive to respond to your eVisit request within two to four hours between 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
