As part of the Allegheny Health Network (AHN) Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Institute, AGH offers comprehensive mental health services. Our treatments include:

  • Intensive day programs: Our partial hospitalization program (PHP) is an all-day program held Monday through Friday. We provide group and individual therapy, family counseling, and psychiatric services, including medication management.   • Outpatient counseling: Our experts provide counseling and treatments for children, adolescents, and adults. We provide help for a variety of problems, including:
    • Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
    • Anxiety

    • Family and marital relationship problems
    • Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
    • Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
  • Advanced therapies: We offer deep brain stimulation for OCD symptoms, transcranial magnetic stimulation for depression, and electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) for depression, bipolar disorder, and psychosis.   • PTSD care for children and teens: Our internationally recognized Center for Traumatic Stress in Children and Adolescents (CTSCA) is the only one in western Pennsylvania dedicated to youths experiencing PTSD.
