Why Saint Vincent? The program hosts a unique concept of continuity with the patients under care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. I was driven by the camaraderie between the residents, and the commitment and compassion towards patient care by each resident and faculty.
Plans after Residency: My current interests lie towards addiction medicine, obesity medicine, aligning my future goals towards Primary Care. I have also developed a personal interest in hospital medicine through the initial phase of residency. Why Saint Vincent? I chose Saint Vincent for a few reasons, I moved to Erie for medical school and grew to greatly enjoy and appreciate all it has to offer. Now Erie has become my home. I was also able to audition at Saint Vincent and found a residency with a culture that included teamwork, and residents who supported and encouraged one another. I also greatly appreciate the opportunity to practice rural family medicine at the Elk Valley clinic.
Plans after Residency: After residency I am hoping to stay in the Erie area and work as an outpatient Family Medicine doctor.

Why Saint Vincent? After growing up near Niagara Falls and traveling the world I was looking to settle down close to home so I could see family more often. Saint Vincent is a program filled with great people, in a smaller city where there are plenty of things to do. This is exactly what I was looking for in a residency program so Saint Vincent was a great fit for me.
Plans after Residency: While I'm still in the process of planning for the future, my current goal is to do a fellowship in Sports Medicine after residency.

Why Saint Vincent? Saint Vincent Hospital fosters a supportive and collaborative work culture, making it a strong community of healthcare professionals. The Family Medicine program, one of the longest standing and most respected in the region, plays a vital role in this environment. As an unopposed primary care residency, it provides comprehensive training and exceptional opportunities for hands-on experience, contributing to the program's esteemed reputation in the community.
Plans after Residency: After completing residency, my goal is to focus on outpatient primary care, building on the comprehensive experience I will have gained upon completion of my residency training. I plan to leverage the strong foundation of family medicine and my commitment to community health to establish my own private practice.

Why Saint Vincent? During my interview, both the faculty and residents were extremely inviting and sincerely proud of this program. With interests in OBGYN/women's health and sports medicine, I found this program to be extremely supportive of my desire to find a way to combine these two fields during my time in residency, while affording me the independence to pursue it. Saint Vincent and the residency have the culture of being a family, with regular resident-led gatherings to promote wellness and bonding.
Plans after Residency: Fellowship in OBGYN, possibly Sports Medicine, and then hopefully working in a location that provides care to an underserved/underrepresented population.

Why Saint Vincent? I did my core rotations at Saint Vincent for medical school and fell in love with the people and the program. The program gives me opportunities to work with underserved and rural populations, which I hope to continue at my future practice. It was the perfect match for me!
Plans after Residency: Working in a small town with a practice caring for underserved populations, likely with a focus in obstetrics to be able to follow my patients through pregnancy and delivery. My family lives all across the country, so I am still looking for the perfect place to establish!
