How we help

Our program includes the following services:

  • Published mailings about grief and the grieving process
  • Information about what to expect when dealing with the loss of a loved one
  • Periodic phone calls or visits from the bereavement coordinators and chaplains
  • Available information about Support group meetings in your area.
  • Referral information for other counseling sources
  • Knowledge of additional grief resources
  • Memorial Services (Each year we have the privilege of hosting a Fall and Spring memorial service for our families. For our Fall Memorial Services, we will be collaborating alongside The Caring Place and their beautiful butterfly display called “illuminating Hope”.)

Volunteer information

Healthcare @ Home is looking for caring and compassionate individuals to become Hospice and Bereavement Volunteers!

Hospice Volunteers are the spirit of the Healthcare @ Home Hospice Team. You can assist our patients by bringing them comfort and the ability to have quality of life. You can help to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of a person as they are nearing the end of their journey, as well as supporting their loved ones.

Bereavement Volunteers are the arms that hold a person in one of their deepest times of need. We all have experienced different types of grief, and you can use your experience to aide others. You can assist our team in giving care to families who have lost a loved one by a variety of different ways.

Here are just a few of the many ways both Hospice and Bereavement Volunteers can offer support:

  • Companionship/socialization
  • Respite for caregivers
  • Care Calls
  • Sharing a special talent
