Our residents are a diverse group, hailing from Pittsburgh or around the globe. Although each has a unique background and story to tell, what unites them is their intense commitment to learn while providing the best patient care possible.

Chief Residents

Abigail Arrigo, DO
Dr. Abigail Arrigo is a Pennsylvania native, having grown up in Delmont, a town just outside of Pittsburgh. She earned her bachelor's degree in biology from Westminster College in New Wilmington, PA. Dr. Arrigo attended medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her internal medicine residency at Allegheny Health Network in June 2025. Following her chief year, she plans to pursue a fellowship in hematology and oncology. Outside of her medical pursuits, Dr. Arrigo enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, attending concerts, and enjoying literature and music. 

Alexis Arrigo, DO
Dr. Alexis Arrigo, a proud “yinzer” from Delmont, PA, earned her Bachelor of Science from Westminster College, PA with a minor in Spanish. She went on to receive her medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, PA, and completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Allegheny Health Network in June, 2025. She hopes to pursue a fellowship in cardiology after her chief year. Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring new restaurants and activities around Pittsburgh, reading, crocheting, and staying active through fitness.  

Melina Diaz Pellot, DO
Dr. Diaz Pellot was born in Patuxent River, Maryland. During her childhood, she moved to Jacksonville, Florida, when her mother was stationed there with the Navy. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida, a master’s degree from Drexel University, and completed her medical training at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, Seton Hill. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Allegheny Health Network in June 2025, during which she participated in the Inclusion Health Track. Following her chief year, Dr. Diaz Pellot is eager to pursue an Addiction Medicine fellowship. Outside of her professional endeavors, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring the restaurant scene in the Burgh, and catching up on her favorite Netflix series.

Rachel DiLeo, DO
Dr. DiLeo was born and raised in the outskirts of Pittsburgh, growing up in Uniontown Pennsylvania. She attended Saint Vincent College in Latrobe Pennsylvania for her undergraduate studies obtaining a bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in psychology. She then attended Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine at Seton Hill in Greensburg Pennsylvania to complete her medical school training. She started her internal medicine residency training at Allegheny Health Network in July 2022 and recently graduated from the program in June 2025. After her chief year, Dr. DiLeo plans on pursuing a fellowship in Hematology and Oncology. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with family and friends and playing fetch with her golden retriever, Callie.
