West Penn Hospital School of Nursing Student Outcomes

We set high expectations for our graduates based on their performance in key areas. In particular, we’re proud of how our graduates perform on the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX^®-RN) on their first attempt; the number of students who complete their coursework in the allotted time frame; and in the number who find a job in a health care setting within their first year after graduation.

Expected outcome: Our program’s annual licensure pass rate is at or above 80% for all first-time test takers (as reported by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing Annual Period October 1 through September 30).
