Mindfulness Programs for Work

When we’re able to focus on the present — what we’re experiencing internally and externally — we can identify and decrease feelings of stress and anxiety. This helps us make better decisions and contributes to a healthier, more fulfilling life.

Could your organization benefit from people practicing mindfulness in their daily activities? AHN offers programs to teach mindfulness techniques throughout your organization. Participants in our programs report improvements in their attitudes and behaviors as well as their overall health.

Benefits of being mindful

Mindfulness means focusing on the present moment with a clear intention of identifying sensations, emotions, and urges. People who regularly practice mindfulness report:

  • Lower levels of stress
  • Lower blood pressure
  • Improved sleep
  • Fewer digestive issues
  • Decrease in chronic pain

Of course, being mindful is easier said than done. People learn to be mindful through a wide variety of exercises — and dedication to practicing them.

Mindfulness programs for schools

School-related stress affects teachers, students, and parents alike. Overcoming it often requires a common language and universal skills to identify, discuss, and react positively to various sources of stress. AHN has programs tailored for schools from kindergarten to grade 12.

  • The Chill Project: A mindfulness program that provide exercises and resources for schools to proactively address stress, pressure, and anxiety. Learn more about The Chill Project.
