Allegheny Health Network recognizes EMS Providers during National EMS Week

PITTSBURGH – Allegheny Health Network’s (AHN) Prehospital Care Services team is extending its gratitude to Emergency Medical Service (EMS) providers during National EMS Week by hosting events at AHN hospitals and partner facilities.

The Prehospital Care Services team will provide grab-and-go meals, meal vouchers, and giveaways to EMS providers during designated times throughout the week of May 22-26. Food trucks, cookouts, and picnics for EMS providers will also be hosted at hospitals across the region throughout the week.

“EMS providers are the first caregivers to interact with patients prior to their arrival at the hospital, and their jobs are vitally important to each patient’s experience and outcome,” said Robert Twaddle, vice president of prehospital care services for AHN. “Although this is just one week of recognition, we want our EMS providers to know that we appreciate their partnership all year long. Their hard work, dedication, and perseverance are never taken for granted.”
