Prescription Medication Refills

Review your current medications and request a prescription, right on your computer or smartphone. Learn more about prescription instructions and potential side effects.

Manage your medication with MyChart

Review your current medications, request a prescription renewal, and more — in just a few clicks.

Have you run out of refills on a prescription? Has it been a year or longer since your doctor last sent a prescription to your pharmacy? You can use MyChart to request that your doctor send a new prescription to your pharmacy. No appointments required.

Keep in mind:

  • Your request can only apply to prescriptions you’re already taking.
  • Prescriptions are only good for one year. Even if you have refills left on a prescription from more than a year ago, you’ll have to request that it be updated. 

You can also use MyChart to register your preferred pharmacies and read more about prescription instructions and potential side effects.

Request a new prescription for a medication refill

In many cases, you can request a prescription refill of your current medications using your online MyChart account or your MyChart app on your mobile device.* Just click on the medication icon, then click Request Rx Refill, and select the medication.

What happens after I request my prescription refill?

It may take a day or two for us to respond to your request. You’ll receive a confirmation message that your refill has been submitted. If you have questions about your prescription or you get a message that your prescription cannot be refilled through MyChart, you can contact your provider or pharmacy for more information or to set up an appointment.
