Since 2013, Amber Egyud has served as the Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of Patient Care Services at Forbes Hospital, Allegheny Health Network. Prior to her role as a CNO, she held positions as a director of nursing, division director, unit manager, and staff nurse positions in emergency and critical care settings in various organizations. She earned a diploma in nursing from Pittsburgh’s Ohio Valley General Hospital School of Nursing, a BSN and MSN from Carlow University, and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Waynesburg University. The focus of her capstone work was improving healthcare provider’s recognition and treatment of human trafficking victims. She has recently published in Pennsylvania Nurse and Journal of Emergency Nursing. Amber was also recently recognized by Pittsburgh Magazine for Excellence in Nursing Leadership, “Honorable Mention”, in December, 2016. Amber is currently a board member of the Southwest Pennsylvania Organization of Nurse Leaders. Amber also holds a position as adjunct faculty at Waynesburg University and serves on their community advisory panel.
