We understand that being away from home can be unsettling. The language and the culture may be unfamiliar and you may not be sure of where to go and how to get there. You can rest assured that International Services will help our international patients navigate our healthcare system and city, so that you will feel comfortable and secure.

Allegheny International Services will gladly assist and facilitate the arrangements for medical care, accommodations, finances and transportation. Furthermore, we will help you with all aspects of your healthcare experience at Allegheny General. Should translation services be required, we will arrange for an interpreter to be available for you. If you require spiritual support, we can assist you in securing religious resources at Allegheny General and in the city of Pittsburgh. We can attend to your special dietary requirements by providing consultation with dietitians during your hospitalization, and we can also make recommendations for local restaurants that you may enjoy during your stay in Pittsburgh.

International Services at Allegheny General is committed to accommodating the needs of our international patients from the initial point of contact in your country of origin, throughout your stay in Pittsburgh, and until your departure back home.
