The outpatient infusion clinic is a specialized clinic designed to meet the infusion needs of self-care, ambulatory patients. The care team includes registered nurses and pharmacists. Outpatient infusion therapy is provided on a scheduled basis and allows patients to receive their care in a comfortable environment close to home, eliminating the need to travel. We also coordinate with our Chautauqua Primary Care Clinic during the summer.
The clinic’s intravenous infusions include:
- IV Antibiotic therapy
- Hydration and electrolyte therapy
- IV Immunoglobin
- Therapeutic phlebotomy
- Care and maintenance of central line catheters
- Subcutaneous and intramuscular injections
- Blood and blood product transfusions
The outpatient infusion clinic does not offer chemotherapy services. For specialized medications, our nurse manager can coordinate the appointment to assure that the medications are available or if there is a need to order it from the pharmacy.
