Two physicians to lead AHN Westfield Hospital Wound Clinic

AHN Westfield Hospital has announced that two physicians will now lead the AHN Westfield Hospital Wound Clinic, located at AHN Westfield at 189 East Main Street in Westfield.

 

Wayne Jones, DO and Fred Havko, MD will now provide services in the clinic on Mondays and Thursdays each week, providing individual care plans and utilizing best practice methodologies. 

 

The AHN Westfield Wound Clinic has been addressing wound care for patients from throughout Chautauqua County for more than 20 years, with care provided by a nurse practitioner. The clinic has now transitioned to physician-led care with Dr. Jones and Havko.

 

Wound clinic services include:

·       Evaluation and management of acute and chronic non-healing wounds

·       Treatment of diabetic wounds, surgical wounds

·       Care of lymphedema and venous stasis

·       Treatment of pressure ulcers, infections and burns

 

Treatment options include wound debridement, compression, biologic skin substitutes, negative-pressure wound therapy and the use of advanced wound care products.

 

Dr. Jones earned his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his emergency medicine residency at Memorial Hospital in York, PA. He joined the staff at AHN Saint Vincent Hospital in Erie, PA, in 1992, where he currently serves as the Medical Director for Emergency Services

 

Dr. Havko earned his medical degree from University of Pittsburgh School Of Medicine medical school in 1987 and completed residency in Emergency Medicine at York Hospital. He is affiliated with medical facilities Saint Vincent Hospital and Westfield Memorial Hospital.
