AHN Saint Vincent celebrates 150th Anniversary with "150FEST" Community Carnival

As part of a year-long celebration of AHN Saint Vincent’s 150th anniversary, the hospital will host a Community Carnival, “150FEST,” on Saturday, July 12, from noon to 4 p.m.

The carnival will commemorate AHN Saint Vincent’s history and future, celebrating with the mid-town neighborhood, employees and their families, and the greater Erie community.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will take place on hospital grounds and will feature food trucks, craft vendors, kids’ activities, and music provided by Happi radio via live remote broadcast.

Kids’ activities will include a petting zoo, bubble wands, temporary tattoos, face painting, popcorn, snow cones, a bounce house, and an obstacle course. There will also be a visit from live characters – Bluey and Bingo (from the TV show “Bluey”) and Stitch (from “Lilo & Stitch”).

Attendees can also leave their handprints on a banner celebrating the hospital’s 150-year legacy. A time capsule will also be prepared, to be opened in 2050.

“Everyone at AHN Saint Vincent is so excited to invite Erie families to be a part of our 150th anniversary celebration, because they are the reason we exist,” said AHN Saint Vincent President, Dr. Chris Clark. “We hope they will join us to celebrate a century and a half of commitment, compassion, and quality care in our community.”

Free parking is available to the community, including at the AHN Cancer Center lot on the corner of 26th and Myrtle streets, the Chest Diseases parking lot at the northeast corner of 26th and Sassafras streets, and a lot at the northeast corner of 24th and Sassafras.
