Westfield Memorial Hospital Pinwheels for Prevention

- April is National Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month, and officials from AHN Westfield Memorial Hospital, its Emergency Department and a gathering of area social service organizations today presented a “Pinwheels for Prevention” display of blue pinwheels on the front lawn of the hospital to engage community in child abuse prevention.

The blue pinwheel is the symbol for Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month and symbolize the happy and safe childhood that every child deserves.

Joining AHN Westfield Memorial Hospital Administrator, Rodney Buchannan in the presentation were Melissa McMahon, Director of Certification, Department of Mental Hygiene and Social Services, and Saraden Randall, Coordinator of the Child Advocacy Program for Safe Harbour
