Penile Implant

If medical treatments failed to treat your erectile dysfunction, AHN’s expert surgeon can equip you with a penile prosthesis implant that provides the ability to achieve and maintain an erection.

What is a penile implant?

Penile implants are surgically inserted into the penis and scrotum and typically reserved for men who have suffered long-term with erectile dysfunction that wasn’t aided by medicine or lifestyle changes.

The most common penile implant is a three-piece device consisting of a fluid reservoir that sits within the pelvis, two tubes that replace the erectile tissue in the penis, and a pump located in the scrotum. Squeezing the pump brings water from the reservoir into the implant to inflate it and produce an erection. The tubes can be deflated when desired.
