Physical therapy services at AHN: Why choose us?

AHN Sports Performance and Physical Therapy provides a blended product of physical therapy along with strength training and conditioning services to active adult, professional and elite, collegiate, recreational, and scholastic athletes, as well as developing youth, that result in favorable outcomes, a return to full status activity, reduced injury risk, and enhanced performance. Whether you’re a starting pitcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates™ or a weekend warrior, you can expect services like:

  • A personalized treatment plan: At AHN, you receive one-on-one care from certified physical therapists. Many of our physical therapists also hold accredited certifications in athletic training, strength and conditioning, and have extensive training in areas such as hand injuries and concussion care, enabling us to deliver outstanding care for complex problems.
  • A complete approach to care: We practice a team approach to your health care to help you get the most out of each session. We often collaborate
with our strength and conditioning coaches, adding strength training exercises to physical therapy sessions to help you get stronger as you heal. You can also stay on with our AHN strength and conditioning coaches after being discharged from physical therapy.
  • Easy access for sports injuries: At AHN, we help you start feeling better faster. Our physical therapists are “Direct Access” certified. This means we can perform an initial evaluation and follow-up treatment sessions for patients who have orthopaedic musculoskeletal injuries, for up to 30 days without a physician referral.

If your injury isn’t healed after 30 days, we work with AHN’s orthopaedic and sports medicine physicians to coordinate the next steps of your care. We’re in constant communication, so you receive additional evaluations or treatments as quickly as possible.
