Triangle Urology has roots in the Pittsburgh region that go back to the 1920s. Throughout the years, it’s been helping countless people get back to experiencing life to the fullest.
As leaders in their field, Triangle Urology experts continually strive to expand their knowledge and discover new ways of helping patients. They establish programs to advance research on specific conditions. Your doctor will let you know if you might be eligible to participate in one of these programs.
Patients receive care and take part in studies through these centers within several of the Triangle office locations:
At Triangle Urology, we take a team approach to your care. Depending on your diagnosis, your doctor will collaborate with other specialists and physician assistants to develop and deliver your personalized care plan. We customize your plan according to your preferences, lifestyle, and emotional needs.
In 1991 we began integrating advanced practice providers (nurse practitioners and physician assistants) into our practice. Because of their specialized training in urology, they have made significant contributions to the growth of our program. An advanced practice provider may see you for:
Feel free to talk to our advanced practice providers or your doctor if you ever have any questions about your care.
You may call our main office Monday–Friday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., to talk with a staff member or schedule an appointment at (412) 281-1757. An answering service takes calls during non-office hours. If you have an urgent medical issue or need to set up a visit that fits your schedule, we now offer same-say appointments. Call (412) 281-1757 by 11 a.m., and you will get an appointment that afternoon.
Each day we arrange to have one office location open for same-day appointments. It may not be possible to get a same-day appointment with a specific doctor at your preferred location.
If you are already one of our patients and experience a urologic emergency, call (412) 281-1757 any time. Our on-call program operates 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. During normal business hours Monday–Friday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., our operators will connect you with one of our offices. After business hours and on weekends and holidays, a professional answering service will help you contact us.
One of our on-call nurses will get back to you within 30 minutes of your phone call to address your needs. If necessary, the nurse will refer you to a doctor on call or direct you to an emergency room. The on-call service is not for refilling medication or scheduling office appointments.
We work with most major insurance plans. To make sure your plan covers care delivered through Allegheny Health Network, call the number on the back of your member ID card. We collect copays at the time of service.
If your insurance requires a referral in order to see a specialist, please bring it with you. If you don’t have a referral, we will need to reschedule your appointment. For questions about billing, please call AHN Central Billing at (866) 907-7551.
The MyChart online patient portal allows you to view your medical records and test results anytime, from anywhere. You can use it to communicate with your physician, request prescription refills, and make payments on your account. Ask our office staff how you can sign up.
