Administrative Fellowship

Allegheny Health Network’s Administrative Fellowship is a two year, rotational, post-graduate training program that offers Master’s graduates the outstanding opportunity to gain insight into the operational, clinical, and strategic growth of the healthcare system.

Fellows operate under the mentorship and guidance of their preceptor and other executive leaders while gaining career experiences in healthcare management. During their experience, Fellows also participate in additional leadership and educational opportunities, including informational sessions with members of the executive leadership team, a defined development path, and shadowing various roles and departments. This program is intended for recent graduates of MHA, MPH, MBA, and other related graduate programs who have demonstrated the potential for high-level executive leadership in their fields.

The first 12 months of the fellowship consists of four core rotations. The rotations are project-based with the opportunity of exposure through an executive lens through the rotation's preceptors and mentors. Following the four core rotations, the fellow will rotate through three additional elective rotations. Some examples of elective rotations include Graduate Medical Education, Patient Experience, and Virtual Health.

Rotations:

  • Institute Operations
  • Executive Nursing
  • Hospital Operations
  • Clinical Informatics

Applications can be submitted through NAFCAS, as we work within the timeline set by the National Council on Administrative Fellowships (NCAF). To connect with current Administrative Fellows, please e-mail AHNAdminFellows@AHN.org for additional information.
