Meet the Team

Jeffrey K. Cohen, MD, received his medical degree, with honors, from the State University of New York (SUNY) - Syracuse Upstate Medical Center in 1979. He served his surgical internship and his surgical and urologic residency at the Case Western Reserve University Hospital of Cleveland. Dr. Cohen also served as a urologic oncology fellow at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Institute. He completed his training in 1985.

Dr. Cohen is certified by the American Board of Urology. In 1996 Dr. Cohen was listed as one of The Best Doctors in America: Northeast Region (1996–1997) as well as one of The Best Doctors in Pittsburgh by Pittsburgh Magazine.

Dr. Cohen is very involved in advancing the field of urology. He is active in serving on hospital committees, medical research, teaching, publishing, and doing presentations for medical society gatherings. He has published numerous articles in medical journals, including the Journal of Urology. He is a reviewer for the Journal of Urology and Urology.

Dr. Cohen maintains memberships in several medical societies, including the American Urological Association (AUA) and the American Medical Association (AMA). Recently, he served on the AUA New Technology and Treatment Advisory Committee.

John Lyne, MD, received his medical degree from University College Dublin. Following an internship in General Surgery at the Western Pennsylvania Hospital, he completed a residency in urological surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He then completed a fellowship in urologic oncology at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, MD. Dr. Lyne practices general urology with a strong focus in urologic oncology, including cancers of the adrenal gland, kidney, bladder, testis, and prostate. He is also the director of the Minimally Invasive Renal Center at Allegheny General Hospital.

Ralph J. Miller, Jr. MD, FACS,received his undergraduate degree from Franklin and Marshall College and his medical degree, cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh. He served his surgical and urologic residencies at the University Health Center of Pittsburgh. Dr. Miller joined the Triangle Urologic Group in 1990.

Dr. Miller is certified by The American Board of Urology and is a Fellow of The American College of Surgeons (FACS). He is Assistant Professor of Surgery, Division of Urology, at Drexel University College of Medicine.

Dr. Miller’s professional interests include robotic surgery, prostate cancer, and bladder cancer, and he serves as director of the Allegheny/AHN Prostate Center. Dr. Miller has authored numerous papers, book chapters, and abstracts regarding the management of prostate cancer.

Dr. Miller has been named to America’s Top Doctors as well as Pittsburgh Magazine’s Best Doctors. Dr. Miller serves as Systemwide Director, Division of Urology, Allegheny Health Network.

Gina Rooker, MD, completed her undergraduate studies and medical school at the University of Oklahoma. She also completed her urology residency training at the University of Oklahoma in 1993. Dr. Rooker pursued her fellowship training in urologic oncology at the University of Missouri in Kansas City from 1993 to 1994 and practiced for one year in Kansas City. She joined Triangle Urology in 1995.

She is board certified in urology and also board certified in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery. Her special interests are urologic oncology, major pelvic reconstruction, and voiding dysfunction. When not working, she can be found fly fishing with her husband or gardening.

Kyle G. Schuyler, MD, received his medical degree from the University of Toledo College of Medicine. While in medical school, he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha and Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Societies and was awarded the Academy of Medicine of Toledo and Lucas County Richard D. Ruppert, M.D. Scholarship for academic excellence. He went on to complete his surgical internship and urology residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore.

He is an active member of the urologic community and maintains memberships in several societies, including the American Urological Association, American College of Surgeons, and the American Medical Association. Dr. Schuyler has helped author several publications in peer-reviewed journals, such as The Journal of Urology and The Journal of Sexual Medicine.

He has spoken nationally on a number of topics, ranging from the use of penile prosthesis surgery for the treatment of Peyronie’s disease to neoadjuvant chemotherapy in the treatment of urothelial cancer.

He has clinical interests in stone disease, urologic oncology, men’s sexual and erectile dysfunction, and men’s voiding dysfunction. He is trained in endosurgery, robotic surgery, microsurgery, and laparoscopic surgery.

Goutham Vemana, MD, is certified by the American Board of Urology. He was previously in private practice for 3 years in Houston, Texas. He attended medical school and completed his residency at the University of Cincinnati. He also completed a fellowship in urologic oncology at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. He specializes in the treatment of all urological conditions with a focused interest in urologic malignancy and performs robotic surgery.

Dr. Jaffe received his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University. He completed his residency at Boston University. He then completed a fellowship in Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. Prior to joining AHN in 2022, Dr. Jaffe previously practiced at a private urology group, UPMC Magee Women’s Hospital and most recently at West Virginia University Department of Urology. Dr. Jaffe practices general urology with a focused interest in Men’s Health and Male Infertility.  His main clinical and surgical interests within his specialty include medical and surgical treatment of Erectile Dysfunction and Peyronie's disease, microscopic Vasectomy Reversal and Varicocele surgery.

Physician assistants and nurse

Jessica Blakeslee, PA-C, obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology from Grove City College in 2004. She then attended Chatham University and graduated with a master’s degree in physician assistant studies in 2007. She began working with Triangle Urological Group in September 2007. Jessica often assists in surgery, especially with robotics cases. She is involved in inpatient care as well and works in the outpatient setting at the Federal Street and Brackenridge offices.

Outside of Triangle Urological Group, Jessica is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. She is involved in precepting Chatham students during their clinical rotations. Additionally, she returns to Chatham regularly to help with urology board preparation for their second year students and other instructional opportunities.

Leah Coalmer, PA-C, is a Pennsylvania licensed, nationally certified Physician Assistant. She attended Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Health Science. After completing her undergraduate education, she remained at Duquesne University and shortly thereafter received her Master of Physician Assistant degree.

Prior to joining Triangle Urology, Leah practiced as a Physician Assistant in Occupational and Sports Medicine in Chicago, Illinois, for over a year. She has returned to the Pittsburgh area and now practices in urology with the Triangle Urological Group. She works primarily through our Federal North and Wexford offices. Leah is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

Kathryn (a.k.a. Kassy) Legault, PA-C, is a Pennsylvania licensed, nationally certified physician assistant. She graduated from Penn State University in 2008 majoring in bio-behavioral health sciences. She then spent a year in South Carolina working at Spartanburg Regional Hospital as a technician before attending her graduate program for Physician Assistant Studies. She completed her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from the Medical College of Georgia in 2011. Kassy joined the practice in September 2011. She works at the Wexford office as well as Passavant Hospital and Allegheny General Hospital. She also assists in the operating room including robotic surgery.

Amy M. Roach, MPAS, PA-C, is a Pennsylvania licensed, nationally certified physician assistant. She got her undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2000, majoring in Communication Science and Disorders. She later went on to complete a Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from Chatham University in 2009. Amy has been with the practice since September 2009. She practices at our Federal Street, Wexford, and Ohio Valley offices. Her responsibilities include outpatient visits, hospital consults, and minor procedures.

Katie Roberts, PA-C, graduated from Slippery Rock University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in biology and minor in chemistry. She then attended Chatham University for their physician assistant program and graduated with her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies in 2006. Katie practiced pediatric dermatology for two and a half years before joining Triangle Urological Group in 2009. She works primarily through our Grove City office. Katie is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and she remains active at Slippery Rock University as a member of the biology department's advisory board.

Natalie Schirato, MPAS, PA-C, is a Pennsylvania licensed, nationally certified physician assistant. She graduated from Dickinson College with a bachelor's degree in science and a major in biology. After completing her undergraduate degree, she went on to get a Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, Pa. She has been practicing with Triangle Urological Group since 2006, and her responsibilities include outpatient practice primarily at our Federal Street office and minor procedures.

Natalie has always remained involved in other areas of the physician assistant profession outside of work. She is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. In addition, she is a preceptor to physician assistant students, interviews prospective students for Chatham University, and gives an annual board review urology lecture at Chatham University.

Eleanor (Ellie) DeShone, MPAS, PA-C, is a Pennsylvania licensed, nationally certified physician assistant. She received a bachelor of science degree with a major in psychology with a life sciences concentration from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. She went on to receive a master of physician assistant studies degree from Chatham University in Pittsburgh. She has been practicing with Triangle Urological Group since 2015. She is involved with the Men's Health Clinic and splits her outpatient time between the Federal Street, Wexford Health + Wellness Pavilion, and Brackenridge offices. She also assists in surgery and provides inpatient care at Allegheny General Hospital.

Ellie is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Additionally, she interviews prospective physician assistant students for Chatham University and precepts students during their clinical rotations.

Caylie Meyer MPAS, PA-C, is a Pennsylvania licensed, nationally certified physician assistant. She graduated from Duquesne University with a Bachelor of Science degree. She continued at Duquesne University Rangos School of Health Sciences in pursuit of her master's degree. She graduated from the physician assistant program in August 2015 and began working at Triangle Urological Group shortly after. Within the practice, she splits her time between outpatient and inpatient care, primarily in the Wexford Health + Wellness Pavilion Office. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and American Urological Association.

Malyn is a Pennsylvania licensed, nationally certified Physician Assistant. She attended Saint Francis University for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees. She graduated from Saint Francis University with a Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences and Masters of Physician Assistant Studies. She has been practicing with Triangle Urological Group since 2016. Within the practice, she splits her time between outpatient and inpatient care primarily in Sharon/Hermitage, PA.

Malyn is certified by the NCCPA and is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

Suzan is a Pennsylvania licensed, nationally certified Physician Assistant. She graduated from Allegheny College with a Bachelor's Degree in Science and a major in Biology and a minor in Psychology. After completing her undergraduate degree, she worked at Magee Womens Research Institute as a research associate studying female pelvic floor disorders. She then went on to get a Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, Pa. She has been practicing with Triangle Urological Group since 2013. Within the practice, she splits her time between outpatient and inpatient care primarily between the Federal Street office, the Allegheny General Hospital and Ohio Valley Hospital. In 2017 she has also taken on the role as PA coordinator for the practice.

Suzan is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Additionally, she has been involved in precepting Chatham students during their clinical rotations.

Kristy is a Pennsylvania licensed, nationally certified physician assistant. She began her career as a nurse and graduated from St. Margaret School of Nursing in 2008. She received her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Waynesburg University in 2010. She worked as a registered nurse at UPMC St. Margaret from 2008 to 2012. She received her master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2014 at the University of Pittsburgh. After graduation, she worked in neurosurgery for three years at Tri-State Neurosurgical Associates-UPMC. She joined Triangle Urology in August 2017.

Maura Jacob, MPAS, PA-C is a Pennsylvania licensed, nationally certified physician assistant.  She graduated from Duquesne University with a Bachelor of Science from Rangos School of Health Sciences. She continued on at Duquesne to obtain her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies and graduated in 2020. She began working for Triangle Urology Group following graduation.  Within the practice, she splits her time between outpatient and inpatient care. She is primarily located at our Federal Street, West Penn and Natrona Heights office locations.

Katie Porreca is a Pennsylvania licensed, nationally certified physician assistant. She got her undergraduate degree from Penn State University in 2015 majoring in biology. She then went on to complete a Master's degree in human biology from Chatham University in 2016. She worked for the University of Pittsburgh in a biorepository for cancer research before completing her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies at Chatham University in 2020. She worked as a PA in general surgery at Beaver hospital for 1 year prior to joining Triangle Urology in January 2022. She practices at our Federal Street, Wexford, and Natrona Heights offices primarily. Her responsibilities include outpatient visits, hospital consults, and minor procedures.
