AHN Saint Vincent honors Peter Kroemer, MD, and Lisa Treusch, MD for Doctors Day 2024

AHN Saint Vincent Hospital, part of the Allegheny Health Network, is celebrating National Doctor’s Day on March 27, with a physician breakfast and luncheon.

One of the highlights of the day will be a ceremony honoring two outstanding AHN Saint Vincent physicians -- family medicine physicians Peter Kroemer, MD, and Lisa Treusch, MD. The ceremony will take place in the McGarvey Learning Center at the hospital at 11 a.m..

Each of the Doctors Day honorees will be recognized with a gift of $500 to their chosen charities. Dr. Kroemer has chosen St. Patrick’s Haven as his charity, and Dr. Treusch has chosen St. Paul’s Free Clinic.

Dr. Kroemer earned his medical degree at SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine and completed his residency with  the Saint Vincent Family Practice Residency Program. He joined the Saint Vincent Medical Staff in 1984, serving first at Edinboro Medical Center and then spending the majority of his career at Albion Family Practice. He retired officially last year and has now been granted emeritus status. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Medicine. He served on the Quality Committee at the hospital and was a long-time preceptor for the Saint Vincent Family Medicine program. For decades, he has served the community as a platelet donor and has always encouraged those around him to become donors as well. He is a member of the  American Academy of Family Physicians and the Pennsylvania Academy of Family Physicians.

Dr. Treusch earned her medical degree from Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine and completed her residency with  the Saint Vincent Family Residency Program, where she served as chief resident. She joined the Saint Vincent medical staff in 1995 at Elk Valley Medical Center and continues to practice there. She has served on the Saint Vincent Medical Group Board of Directors and on its Clinical Affairs Council, where she served as Vice Chair. She volunteers with and serves on the board of St. Paul’s Free Clinic. She is board certified in Family Medicine. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Medicine and the Pennsylvania Academy of Family Physicians.
