AHN Saint Vincent Vascular Surgeon, Dr. Naval Udgiri, Named to Newsweek’s 2025 America’s Leading Doctors

AHN Saint Vincent vascular surgeon Dr. Naval Udgiri has been honored by Newsweek's one of America’s Leading Doctors 2025 in the specialty of vascular surgery. This prestigious recognition highlights only 175–200 physicians across the United States in each specialty, selected through a rigorous evaluation process.

America’s Leading Doctors is compiled based on four key data sources: Medicare physician performance data, statewide online surveys, peer quality score ratings, and certifications from recognized American medical and surgical specialty boards. These criteria ensure that honorees excel in clinical skill, patient outcomes, professional reputation, and board-certified expertise.

Dr. Udgiri began his medical career as a trained transplant surgeon at one of India’s Ivy League medical institutions before pursuing advanced training in the United States. He completed his residency at Bronx Lebanon Medical Center in New York, followed by a fellowship in vascular surgery at Eastern Virginia Medical School.

Since joining AHN Saint Vincent Hospital in Erie, Dr. Udgiri has revitalized the vascular department, transforming it into the region’s premier center for vascular care. He was the first to introduce many advanced minimally invasive vascular procedures locally, ensuring patients can receive cutting-edge treatment without traveling to larger cities.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Udgiri is a dedicated educator and mentor, training medical students and residents while sharing his expertise at international conferences. His leadership has raised the standard of vascular care throughout northwest Pennsylvania.

Dr. Udgiri practices at AHN Saint Vincent Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, located at 2315 Myrtle Street, Erie.

In addition to Dr. Udgiri, four other AHN physicians were named to the Newsweek listing. They are:
