The purpose of this course is to improve your knowledge on how to create more precise, creative simulation scenarios for your learners in order to achieve desired outcomes. This course will introduce strategies to incorporate critical thinking into simulation scenarios based on Benner’s Novice to Expert Clinical Competence Theory. Participants will have an opportunity to create a customized scenario based on course objectives and desired levels learner of competency.
The scenario programming course is designed for the advanced user who seeks additional skills programming scenarios. Participants learn scenario design using the STAR Center’s Scenario Development Programming Worksheet. Emphasis is placed on programming Trends and Handlers.
