The AHN 24/7 Nurse Line is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you are experiencing severe symptoms like chest pain or shortness of breath, go to your nearest emergency room or call 911.

Who will I be talking to?

The AHN 24/7 Nurse Line is answered by registered AHN nurses who have years of experience helping patients and their families.

Does it matter what insurance I have?

No. Calling the AHN 24/7 Nurse Line is free for anyone regardless of insurance coverage.

What can the AHN 24/7 Nurse Line do for me?

Can the nurse give me a diagnosis?

No. The nurse can answer your questions about symptoms but cannot make a diagnosis. If you need a physician, we can help you identify a doctor a specialist. If you are interested in receiving care at AHN, we can help you make appointments, and transfer your records (some restrictions may apply).

Do I have to be seeing an AHN doctor?

Will the AHN 24/7 Nurse Line try to direct me to an AHN doctor?

No. We are simply here to answer your questions and provide support as needed. If you need a physician, we can help you identify a doctor a specialist in or outside of AHN. If you are interested in receiving care at AHN, we can help you make appointments, and transfer your records (some restrictions may apply).

If I am seeing an AHN doctor, can the AHN 24/7 Nurse Line nurses see my records?

Yes. As an AHN patient, our nurses can review your medical records to provide the best care possible based on your history. Your call to the Nurse Line will be entered into your medical records so your doctor knows that you called.

Can I call if I am not currently in Pennsylvania?

Our nurses can only answer health questions if you are calling from within Pennsylvania. If you are not, our nurses will do their best to find you a resource in your area.
