Burn Concern Support Group

Recovering from a severe burn injury can take a physical and emotional toll. The West Penn Burn Concern Support Group is an all-volunteer, peer-based group founded by burn survivors and their loved ones. We offer lifelong support for people dealing with burns or skin disorders that resemble burns, such as toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN).

About the burn concern support group

Meetings are open to current and past West Penn Burn Center patients. We offer a safe place to share personal accounts of survival, recovery, and reintroduction into work and life. Read the founding directors’ patient stories.

We offer:

  • In-person support
  • Phone-in support

Our support groups meet monthly. Participation in the group is always voluntary. We meet:

  • Time: 2 p.m.
  • Date: Third Saturday of each month
  • Location: West Penn Burn Center, North Tower, second floor conference room
