Dr. Kim is a sports medicine physician at Saint Vincent Sports Medicine, earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed both a family medicine residency and a sports medicine fellowship at Saint Vincent.

Dr. Kim has additional training and certification for osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) and joint injections, including but not limited to the shoulder, knee, elbow, wrist and hip. He also specializes in concussion treatment and education, OMT for both athletes and non-athletes experiencing neck, back, pelvis and hip pain, and gait assessment for runners and walkers.

Non-athletes can take advantage of Dr. Kim’s services as well. He provides non-surgical treatment for any musculoskeletal injuries and issues, and brings a conservative approach to treatment for arthritis, muscle imbalances and pain patterns that are not necessarily related to sports.

Dr. Kim is the head team physician for Penn State Behrend and Fairview High School. He provides medical coverage for many local athletic events, including the Erie Marathon.

His favorite sports are hockey & basketball, and he enjoys sailing, running, skiing and snowboarding. He is passionate about sports medicine because he likes helping athletes overcome the obstacles of an injury and return to peak performance in their desired sport.

Dr. McIntosh is the fellowship program director. She earned her medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She completed her family practice residency at UPMC-Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa., and her sports medicine fellowship at Saint Vincent.

Dr. McIntosh takes a functional approach to the evaluation and treatment of musculoskeletal problems. She does utilize more traditional options like medications, bracing and joint injections when necessary. She also specializes in diagnosing and managing concussions. She enjoys working with athletes of all ages and specialties, but has a special interest in treating runners.

Non-athletes can benefit from Dr. McIntosh’s expertise in that her skills can also be applied to problems and issues that are not related to sports or exercise. People who do not consider themselves athletes can actually experience the same types of musculoskeletal injuries as athletes, and Dr. McIntosh can provide the specialized care needed to help them avoid living with chronic pain – and maybe even help them discover the athlete within!

Dr. McIntosh is a team physician for Gannon University and Mercyhurst Preparatory School. She also assists in covering games for the Erie Seawolves. She provides medical coverage for several local athletic events including the Highmark Quad Games, Presque Isle Triathlon and the Edinboro Triathlon.

Her favorite sports are basketball and crew, and she enjoys running, hiking and cross country skiing. For Dr. McIntosh, sports medicine is most rewarding when she can help an individual get back to their sport or simply get through their day pain-free. While the cause some injuries is clear and the treatment plan is standard, she also enjoys "playing detective" to get to the heart of the problem when injuries are more complicated.

Dr. St. Julien is the associate fellowship director. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed both his family medicine residency and sports medicine fellowship at Saint Vincent Hospital.

He also specializes in concussion treatment and education, OMT for both athletes and non-athletes experiencing neck, back, pelvis and hip pain.

Non-athletes can take advantage of Dr St. Julien’s services as well. He provides non-surgical treatment for any musculoskeletal injuries and issues and brings a conservative approach to treatment for arthritis, muscle imbalances and pain patterns that are not necessarily related to sports.

Dr. St. Julien is the team physician for Edinboro University, Northwestern and Girard High School, assists with coverage for the Erie Seawolves and is the medical director for the Barber Beast on the Bay. He also provides medical coverage for many local athletic events including the Erie Marathon.
