Marge is the Chief Nursing Officer of Allegheny General Hospital. In addition to practicing as a staff nurse in many settings, Marge has previously held several senior level administrative positions including the CNO of Butler Memorial Hospital, CEO/CNO of Suburban General Hospital, CNO of UPMC ISMETT in Palermo Italy and the CNO of UPMC Mercy. She received a BSN from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, an MSN from LaRoche College and is currently a PhD candidate at Duquesne University. Her dissertation focus is on patient safety culture and the impact of culture on nurse advocacy for patients and patient outcomes. She has recently published in Infectious Disorders and The Journal of Patient Safety. She is a past board member of the Pennsylvania Organization of Nurse Leaders and the past chair and current board member of the Southwest Pennsylvania Organization of Nurse Leaders. She is also a trustee of Robert Morris University and volunteers in her community as a church violinist.
