Women’s behavioral health specialist seeing patients at West Penn Hospital
Pittsburgh, Pa - Rebecca Weinberg, PsyD, a clinical psychologist specializing in women’s behavioral health, has joined AHN Women's Behavioral Health at West Penn Hospital.She treats a variety of issues in patients age 18-50 including perinatal mood disorders, perinatal loss, infertility, and parenting challenges.
Dr. Weinberg earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees in psychology at Yeshiva University, Stern College for Women, in New York. She graduated magna cum laude and received the Gilda R.S. Silverman Memorial Award for Excellence in Psychology. She went on to receive her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, Yeshiva University, in Bronx, N.Y. She completed an internship at Allegheny General Hospital and her post-doctoral clinical training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic.
She is a member of the American Psychological Association. She holds certifications and has training in the Mind Body Program for Fertility, the Resourceful Adolescent Parenting Program (RAP-P), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program (MBSR), and in interpersonal psychotherapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy.
