About the Program

Our Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship is an accredited two-year training program that includes comprehensive didactic and clinical experience in treating psychiatric disorders in children and adolescents. The Department of Psychiatry at Allegheny General Hospital provides a full range of clinical services, including outpatient, partial hospital, inpatient, school, community, and consultation-liaison settings. In addition, the Center for Traumatic Stress in Children and Adolescents at AGH is a nationally recognized clinical research program that offers unique educational experiences working with traumatized children.

Rotations are as follows:

  • Outpatient child and adolescent psychiatry (12 months)
  • Partial hospital program (2 months)
  • Inpatient child and adolescent program (5 months)
  • Electives (5 months)
