When you or your loved one come to our emergency department for urgent care, you’ll find:

Full range of services: We provide diagnosis and treatment of any trauma, including broken bones, burns, heart attacks, stroke, and other injuries and illnesses.

Care close to home: You don’t have to travel far to find comprehensive care for emergencies. A fully equipped emergency room is right nearby.

Transport to hospital: We offer pre-hospital transport with the Paramedic Unit for Life Support Emergency Response (A-K PULSER). This service provides community members with excellent pre-hospital care quickly and efficiently.

Urgent care clinic: When a minor injury or illness requires urgent care but is not an emergency, visit the Urgent Care Center at AVH Outpatient Services – New Kensington for rapid treatment.

Telemedicine stroke services: Our stroke team is on call to provide prompt, expert evaluation and treatment for people having a stroke. Using video technology, a neurologist with specialized training in stroke care evaluates the patient and offers treatment recommendations.
