Surgical ear loop masks, at a minimum, must be worn within all AHN facilities.  Cloth face masks are no longer permitted, as they do not provide the best level of protection against Coronavirus.

The physicians and staff of Forbes Hospital are dedicated to making our patients and visitors as comfortable as possible. We are committed to treating our guests with competence, compassion, and courtesy. Our physicians, nurses, and other members of our healthcare team are dedicated to responding to patients' needs and answering their questions. Additionally, our Patient Relations staff are dedicated to assisting our patients and visitors, answering their non-medical questions, and providing further service to enhance their stay at our hospital.

As a patient you or your legally responsible party, have the right to:

  • receive care without discrimination due to age, sex, race, color, religion, sexual orientation, income, education, national origin, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, genetic information, marital status, culture, language, physical or mental disability, gender identity or expression, or who will pay your bill
  • safe, respectful, and dignified care at all times. You will receive services and care that are medically suggested and within the hospital’s services, its stated mission, and required law and regulation.

Patient safety and quality of care

The physicians and staff of Forbes Hospital are dedicated to making our patients and visitors as comfortable as possible. We are committed to treating our guests with competence, compassion, and courtesy.

Representatives from the Patient Experience Department identify and act upon improvement opportunities presented by hospital patients and guests. Physicians, patients, families, and visitors rely on the Patient Experience Dept. to address special needs, identify, and seek solutions to problems, and represent their interests.

You can reach a department representative by calling (412) 858-2000 then, ask to be transferred to the dept. After regular business hours, please notify the unit supervisor if a situation requires immediate attention.
