Wound Care

At Allegheny Health Network, we understand that having a non-healing wound is often painful, embarrassing, costly and can limit a person's ability to function to their full potential.

Wound healing is often impacted by other health problems like diabetes, heart disease, immune disorders, and breathing difficulties. Certain medications can also delay the body's ability to heal.

Allegheny Health Network offers five locations to assist those dealing with non-healing wounds - the Wound Healing and Lymphedema Center at Allegheny General Hospital, the Advanced Wound Healing Center at Forbes Hospital, the Grove City Wound Center, the Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center at Jefferson Hospital and the Saint Vincent Wound Center.

Our main goal is to create an individual holistic plan of care in partnership with the patient, and when possible their caregivers, to help facilitate the wound healing process.
