West Penn Hospital Foundation is the philanthropic resource for West Penn Hospital. Established in 1984, the Foundation operates exclusively for charitable, educational and scientific purposes. All corporate powers of the Foundation are vested in and are exercised by a board of directors that controls and manages the Foundation's property, affairs and funds.

Our Mission

West Penn Hospital Foundation raises, invests and distributes funds in support of West Penn Hospital, the Hospitals’ medical programs, patient and family care, research, education and community programs.

West Penn Hospital

Since its incorporation in 1848 as Pittsburgh's first chartered public hospital, West Penn Hospital has fostered a legacy of leadership and innovation in medicine. The hospital serves people in Pittsburgh and throughout the tri-state area of Western Pennsylvania, Eastern Ohio and Northern West Virginia. West Penn Hospital, a member of the Allegheny Health Network, is a nonprofit hospital.
