AGH Pediatrics offers patients high quality care through a variety of inpatient and outpatient services. Below are listed a sampling of our outstanding divisions and services available to you and your child.
Recognized locally, nationally, and internationally, our physicians at the Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology Center offer diagnosis and treatment for children, adolescents and adults with these conditions. These specialists are available to see your child (or you) in either an inpatient or outpatient setting. They are also involved in pioneering research for more effective methods of diagnosis and treatment for allergic and immune diseases. Throughout the year, the division conducts multiple sports camps for children with asthma.
Regarded as clinical leaders and research innovators in the field of otorhinolaryngology, AGH’s ENT specialists lead the way in new approaches for treating pediatric ear, nose, and throat problems, including the management of tonsillitis, adenoiditis, sinusitis, snoring and sleep-disordered breathing. Diagnostic services are available for pediatric patients with hearing loss, speech-language disorders, and congenital abnormalities of the head and neck. The surgeons are supported by a caring and personable team of assistants and clinical staff.
Our Pediatric Orthopaedists offer specialized care for children and adolescents who have congenital and developmental problems with joints, muscles, and bones. In addition to treating patients with bone fractures, dislocations of joints, and scoliosis, our Pediatric Orthopaedists also provide care to children with spina bifida, cerebral palsy, and sports injuries. As the official medical provider of the Pittsburgh Pirates, the AGH Department of Orthopaedic Surgery also supports and directs numerous regional scholastic sports programs.
Children with emotional, attention-related, behavioral, cognitive or learning problems and neurologic or psychiatric disorders benefit from the services of AGH Department of Psychiatry. We provide outpatient psychiatric services, including The Center for Post-Traumatic Stress, for children exposed to traumatic life events.
If your child needs to undergo a procedure or test requiring general anesthesia, rest assured that our pediatric anesthesia service consists of a core group of anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists who do all pediatric cases.
The Department of Pediatrics provides Urgent Care Services at AGH-Suburban in Bellevue, PA. Just like our Emergency Medicine colleagues, we pledge to see all patients within 30 minutes of their arrival..
