West Penn Healthy for You - Community Health and Wellness Education Program

West Penn Hospital is committed to improving the health and wellness of the communities it serves. That's why we've developed, “West Penn Healthy For You," a free community health and and wellness education program.

About West Penn Healthy for You

West Penn Healthy for You classes are designed to help participants learn strategies that can be implemented right away to help improve their health and wellness at any age. Attendees will meet and learn from some of the hospital’s most talented physicians and subject matter experts on topics like:

  • controlling health threats
  • keeping your heart young
  • healthy eating strategies
  • advancements in the treatment of arthritis
  • nutrition during preconception and pregnancy

Community partnerships

West Penn Hospital has partnered with Whole Foods Market, Pittsburgh (Shadyside) and LA Fitness, Bakery Square in East Liberty to bring you this program.

LA Fitness is a class host, while Whole Foods Market will be offering a healthy recipe demonstration during select classes in the West Penn Hospital program.

Classes and registration

West Penn Healthy for You is offered at two convenient times and locations.

West Penn Hospital: third Tuesday of the month from 1 to 2 p.m. or 1 to 2:30 p.m. View health and wellness classes at West Penn Hospital.

LA Fitness, Bakery Square, east Liberty, third Tuesday of the month from 6 to 7 p.m. View health and wellness classes at L.A. Fitness, East Liberty.

While you may view and register for classes online, registration can also be made by calling our Physician Access line at (412) 330-4469. Space is limited and registration is required.
